The problem this addresses

Most UDL training explains the framework (engagement, representation, action and expression) without ever touching a real unit a teacher actually has to teach next month. This service works the other direction: start from a real unit, find the actual barriers in it, and redesign specific decisions, producing something usable immediately, not just better-informed teachers.

Who it's for

Inclusion Leaders, Curriculum Coordinators, and Teaching and Learning Leaders who want to redesign specific units to reduce unnecessary learning barriers, applying Universal Design for Learning principles to real curriculum decisions rather than running a generic awareness session.

Expected outcome

One redesigned unit that removes unnecessary barriers, with a SMART-goal pilot plan for trialling it.

What's included

  • A Curriculum Review of two selected units.
  • A practical UDL planning framework, built from the Barriers Matrix and Teacher Toolkit instruments.
  • One collaborative exemplar unit redesign: an annotated existing unit with revised sequencing, assessment access considerations, and documented rationale, not new lesson materials or a resource library.
  • Three 45-minute synchronous sessions via Zoom: Session 1 immediately after the first asynchronous learning week, Session 2 approximately 7 to 14 days later (implementation planning), and Session 3 at approximately 180 days (feedback and long-term reflection, not a second diagnostic). Asynchronous work (reading, drafting) happens between sessions.
  • One round of follow-up clarification.
  • A short SMART-goal pilot plan for trialling the redesigned unit.
  • Six named participant places are included. The purchasing school may add any number of its own staff before commencement at CHF 75 each. Your school also receives complimentary access to TeachingTide.com, a Swiss-designed partner CPD-management platform that can be used by all staff across your school, for one year.
  • A Certificate of Completion ("UDL Champion") for session attendees, recording CPD hours.
  • Full scope, revision terms, and support limits are confirmed in the proposal.

The learning journey

Three 45-minute synchronous sessions via Zoom: Session 1 immediately after the first asynchronous learning week, Session 2 approximately 7 to 14 days later for implementation planning, and Session 3 at approximately 180 days for feedback and long-term reflection. Asynchronous work happens between sessions.

What each participant creates

One bounded artifact review per participant: one submission, one consolidated feedback response, and one resubmission opportunity.

Evidence and framework behind it

Applies the CAST UDL Guidelines 3.0 (engagement, representation, action and expression) to real unit redesign, without claiming CAST certification, affiliation, accessibility compliance expertise, or clinical/SEND diagnostic expertise.

Exclusions

  • Clinical diagnosis, disability certification, therapeutic intervention, individual student accommodation decisions, formal accessibility compliance certification, or specialist safeguarding assessment. Amit is not presented as a clinician, special educational needs diagnostician, accessibility auditor, or CAST-certified trainer.
  • A full 30-day roadmap document; the SMART-goal pilot plan is lighter weight.
  • Scope details beyond this are confirmed in the proposal.

What the school must provide

One nominated coordinator, two selected curriculum units' materials, completion of the intake questionnaire, appropriate anonymization of any student-identifiable material, and a department willing to pilot the one redesigned unit.
